The readings influenced my perception of my own clinical decision-making. They helped me to see that I must trust myself less and seek counsel from professional in my own sub-specialty before making decisions with great impact on my clients. The article by Tversky and Kahneman particularly impressed me in regards to systematic errors that I make unintentionally.
The study of heuristics and biases provides a good backdrop to explore our own clinical decision making.
