How do you anticipate that this assignment will help you in your graduate coursework? 

This assignment will help me to be better familiarized with the tools that make writing graduate assignments easier. Thus more of my time can be spent learning instead of becoming frustrated over a lack technological know-how. Tips for quickly finding some of the best evidence-based research in my specialty will become important in both graduate coursework as well as in practice. Besides this, the associated readings have helped me to become a wiser information consumer by learning the differences between propaganda, misinformation, and disinformation.

What is one way you could become involved in designing, selecting, evaluating, or implementing an information system in your workplace?

I have recently talked with my manager about this very question. She told me that many of the ideas that have led to significant improvements/changes in our EMR have come from nurses themselves. She then indicated that she attends a monthly meeting regarding our EMR and she would be glad to take any suggestions for improvement that I might have to present at that meeting. I gave her my top two suggestions (which I believed would decrease the amount of medication errors) via email so as to increase clarity in her presentation. This experience helped me to feel like I could make a difference and influence the efficacy of our EMR.
